The Adansi North District Assembly has organised a day’s training workshop for staffs of the Assembly on the importance of proper records management and how to successfully migrate onto the new Local Government Service filling system.
Speaking at the opening of the training session, the District Coordinating Director, Mr Okrah Thomas Kwame indicated that one of the gaps identified during the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) was poor record management at the Assembly and this prompted Management to facilitate a training workshop for all staff of the Assembly.
The resource person for the workshop, Ms. Dorcas Boadu, who is a Deputy Director at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council stated that, the importance of the new filing system is to ensure uniformity in the filing system in the Local Government Service. She took staff through the process of how to successfully migrate onto the new system and also practices to adopt in other to prevent misplacing files and documents.
Management of the District Assembly therefore, announced to close all existing files of the Assembly on Wednesday 15th November, 2023 and migrate onto the new filing system to satisfy the Local Government Service Filing System.
