The Adansi North District’s Department of Social Welfare and Community Development is validating over 700 people for the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme.
The LEAP programme, running for about 18 years, aims to support economically and socially vulnerable individuals, helping them become self-reliant.
The validation exercise covers 24 out of 33 communities, verifying existing beneficiaries and enrolling new ones.
Previously, households in 15 communities were reassessed whiles households in 9 communities were enumerated by the Ghana National Household Registry for selection unto the LEAP programme.
