Presentation of six hundred (600) mono desks to basic schools

District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adansi North, Hon. Kusi Kwaku Eric on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2023, presented six hundred (600) mono desks to basic schools in the District. Presenting the desks to the District Education Director, the DCE said, the dual desks were procured from the District Assembly Common Fund for onward distribution to schools that are in dire need of desks.
Consequent to this, he deemed it appropriate to hand them over to the District Education Director for a fair distribution.

Presenting the desks to the District Education Director, the DCE said, the dual desks were procured from the District Assembly Common Fund for onward distribution to schools that are in dire need of desks.

Although, the DCE admitted that the desks would not be enough for every school, he is however hopeful schools that receive them will put them into good use to enhance teaching and learning.

He assured the Education Directorate that, Senior High Schools would soon benefit from the furniture distribution programme.

The District Education Director, Alhaji Ibrahim Amankwaah, who received the desks on behalf of the schools was thankful to the DCE for his efforts help curb issues of lack of mono desks in some schools in the District.
He reiterated that the desks would go a long way to enhance teaching and learning as well as reducing the desk deficit in the beneficiary schools.

He used the opportunity to request for teacher’s desks and accommodation to enable teachers have befitting classrooms and standardized place of abode.

He also revealed that, the BECE candidates in the District were well prepared for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which is to start in the second week of August, 2023.

Kusa Assembly Member, Hon. Akwasi Afoakwah expressed his appreciation to the Hon. DCE on behalf of all Assembly Members in relation to the presentation and re-echoed that teachers should also be provided tables and chairs and all other requisite teaching materials to bring out the best in them.
