The Medical Women Association of Ghana (MWAG) and Lexta Ghana launched a cervical cancer awareness campaign at the Adansi North District Hospital on Tuesday, January 13, 2025.

The theme for the launch, “Men and Women as Partners in Cervical Cancer Prevention: Creating Awareness for Screening, Vaccination, and Treatment.” seeks to significantly reduce cervical cancer cases by reducing Human Papilloma- Virus (HPV) with the collective efforts of everyone.

District Chief Executive, Hon. Charles Kofi Obgeh, urged hospital management to support screening efforts and encourage more women to get checked. He also encouraged parents to vaccinate their daughters (9-14 years) against cervical cancer
