The Adansi North District Assembly on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, joined the rest of the country in observing the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving service, under the theme: “Resetting our values to build the Ghana we want”.
This historic observance is aimed at uniting Ghanaians in prayer and thanksgiving for the nation’s peace, progress, and prosperity.
The event was held at Akrokerri in two separate but spiritually significant sessions for both Muslims and Christians, reflecting the country’s rich religious diversity and commitment to interfaith harmony.
The Christian session which was the first session was held at the frontage of the Akrokerri Palace and the Muslim session was held at the Akrokerri Zongo Mosque where the atmosphere serene and solemn.
Present at the ceremony were key dignitaries including: Hon. Charles Kofi Ogbeh, , the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Adansi North District, Nananom of Akrokerri Divisional Council, the District Co-rd. Director, the District Police Commander, Clergy and other heads of the departments/units and agencies.
